Front: Michelle Berger, Margie Wytzka, Dana Werner, Arianne Oberling, Ellen Cheng, Helen Tiang, Radika Khetrapal. This year witnessed the emergence of a new science-oriented club, the Science Alliance. Formed by Paul Hicks and physics teacher Iack Matier, the Alliance was designed to satisfy the scientific curiosity of its members. It did this in a number of ways, one of which was the presentation of an experiment or scientific demonstration during each meeting. Along with these experiments, a number of field trips were taken to various local scientific organiza- tions. The Alliance was also involved in the Space Shuttle Involvement Project. Students submitted experiments to NASA with the possibility of these experiments being chosen to be conducted aboard the Space Shuttle. A small publication was printed by the club in which students summarized and criticized articles which they read. The members hope that the club will grow in size and number of activities next year. Dear Moira, Best Wishes, Tally 161
