It is very like food which is more nourishing and satisfying if taken in the proper proportions and time sequence. You are in the bud of life. Please don't pluck the bud from the nurturing bush before it has time to blossom into full growth. Wade gently into life so that you may enjoy the good things and have the strength and courage to face the hardships and disappoint- ments. Love to you! 4 -s.. ' .4 Facultyl119

118fFaculty One of the last things that I wish each student as he leaves Ernest Ward at the conclusion of his senior year is that his life will be filled with happiness. That is a wish that I have for EVERY- ONE at our school. However, I recognize that perhaps that wish is rather vagueg following is a brief view of how I perceive this elusive thing called happiness. It does not depend upon a full pocket book, but upon a mind full of rich thoughts and a heart full of rich emotions. It does not depend upon what happens out- side of you but on what happens inside of you, by the spirit in which you meet life. I wish you happiness! Wm
