1 Iris Thames Tradition. Throughout our Senior year and all our years in high school, we were the class that left a long line of broken, abused, and battered traditions in our wake. The words, You can't do that, it's not traditional , never meant anything to us. The one big Senior tradition we did keep was the Senior Run-Thru Sign at homecoming. Seniors worked all homecoming week to make our sign the best ever. It was the best sign we had ever done for any occasion, Nearly every member of the Senior class came up with brilliant ideas for the sign. If their genius was not used in design, it was used in art work. Every Senior was proud of that run-thru sign. Each one ofus had put time and energy into the sign only to have Mother Nature get her revenge on us. Rain and wind almost decimated the sign as it was being hung. We know now that we were being punished for all the future times we would say, I'm a SEN- IORQ I don't have to, and Hey brat, out of my way, I'm a Senior. The football players did have a run-thru sign, even though it looked as if it had been run through before. 88fSeniors Melinda Ward Melody Ward Tammy Wiggins Monica Wilson Gei 4..+ -r 5-'gg y C flffff fflfjygylff Q

It did not seem fair that one girl and one boy be honored as the most intelligent. There are many great intellects in every Senior class. Senior Hall of Fame was created last year to replace the category of Most Intellectual in Seniors' Who's Who. To be included, one must have a grade point average of at least 3.5. Above: Robin Spence, Monica Wilson, Melody Ward, Vanessa Hollingsworth, and Melinda Ward have grade point averages of 4.0 or above. Below: Shannon Hall, Pam Hall, Rhonda Hassebrock, and Daphne Lassitter have grade point averages of 3.5 or above. t t 3
