MRS. SUSAN S. SOUBY Principal of the Preparatory School Mrs. Souby ' s second year at Ward-Belmont has pro ed to be as successful as her first. She has gained the respect and love of every student with whom she has come in contact. While fulfilling the department ' s position as an integral part of the school, she has shown much interest in cam- pus life and affairs. MR. ALAN IRWIN Dean of Conservatory of Music Understanding is the word describing Dean Irwin, plus a ready smile, keen wit, and excel- lent musical ability. His interest in music and his consciousness for the need of it has led to his direction of numerous activities directed to- ward the satisfying of this need.
