Even though the snow was continuing to drift,there was still a good turnout of enthisiastic fans. The Junior Varsity team put up a hard fight, but were still overcome by the Comanches. Between games some Art Club members presented to the school a handsome Wildcat mosaic. The Pom-Pom girls with braids and all, gave an outstanding performance to the beat of Half Breed . The Varsity played an outstanding game even though they were defeated by the Saybrook-Arrowsmith team. The boys may not have won the game by score, but it was won in the hearts of the students. 9

I’LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS t 8:00 p.m. on the eve of Decemberl5th, many starry-eyed students and alumni ound themselves amidst a winter wonderland as they stepped onto the dance loor. The Homecoming Dance was a tremendous success with its snow-covered loor and brilliantly lighted Christmas tree. At the stroke of nine, in a glow of adiance, the king and queen's court entered the gym led by last year's king and ueen, Jim Holland and Sheila Johnson. After hushed anticipation, Mrs. Collman nnounced that the new 1973 Homecoming King and Queen were Steve Wills and Rebecca Thorp. The runners-up for the title were John Marvel and Nan Brown, he other members of the court were Linda Lord and Lewis Thorp, Lynn Samuel nd Steve Redman, Linda Woollen and Allen Washburn. After the excitement of he coronation, everyone continued dancing to the very end, to top off a perfect vening. 8
