The completion of your high school career is only a step toward a final goal in education whether it be college, technical or vocational training, or on-the-job training in whatever occupation you may choose. It has been our purpose to provide you with the opportunity to equip yourself with the basic tools necessary to succeed in your chosen field. Your success or failure in the field of your choice will attest to the effort you have put forth in acquiring a high school diploma. Success and happiness go hand in hand and personal acquisition of these intangibles is society’s gain. 6 Congratulations, Seniors of 1967, on the achievements that led to your graduation from Wapella Community Unit 5. Do not let this graduation from a secondary school be a stopping point but make it a stepping stone for a future education to help this world of ours along the road to peace. What will be your role in this effort? Will you be one of those content to rest on the achievements of others or will you be one of the ‘educated who will mold the future of this, your native land. You must prepare yourself to take your place in the everyday world of work because that is where eighty-five percent of you will finally settle. Work is still honorable.
