BASEBALL The 1969 baseball season was a disappointing one for Wa-Hi. The season started on a good note with a pair of wins over arch-rivals Toppenish, but continued down hill from there. The team was hurt this year by the continuous errors. The players worked hard and long hours in practice to rid them- selves of the costly errors, but no matter how hard they tried, the errors again struck in the crucial games. The Wolves had several games that couldhave gone either way, but because of the errors they turned out bright for the opponents. This years team was lead by four Seniors, Mike Nettleton, Steve Walker, Bill Dalton, and Glen Hata. Dalton was named Honorary Captain and Hata led the teams batting average with a 356 pct. Hata also won the Inspirational Award for baseball. The team had many Juniors and Sophomores and is looking forward to a much better year next season.
