Despite being confronted by wintery gales, deep blankets of snow, and high water, Wapat0's edu- cational process did not falter or fail. Typical of the past year,s winter, this aerial photo shows the Wapato High campus. Here is where we, the high school youth of the community, are granted the most precious opportunity to grow-in mind and spirit. Here has been the center for many unforgettable school activities and for educational enlightenmentg this is where we have been privil- eged to receive encouragement as well as recogni- tion for doing our daily tasks and meeting every- Here is one of the finished products of the many educational functions-the 1956 Wasehian. But it was not accomplished without the wonderful cooperation and help on the part of every faculty member and student, and to you we want to express our heartiest appreciation. ln this publication we hope to present to you, the students, a combined pictorial and written record of the year to help you think of the good times you have had and to preserve memories of them. So here is your yearbook. We call it HLIGHTSF' We hope that you enjoy the 1956 WASEHIAN LIGHTS as much as we enjoyed putting it to- gether, although' it did take many long toilful hours for us to accomplish our purpose.
