One of the most active service clubs functioning in the school this year was the Lettermen's Club, under the guidance of Mr, Dorr. The new lettermen from last years track, tennis. and baseball teams and this years football team were initiated on january 6 and 7. To end the initi- ation, the club presented a pep assem- bly at which the new lettermen were give the traditional egg shampoo. At the next meeting of the club, hacks were given for violations of the initi- ation rules. During the year, the lettermenis duties were to help with the junior high intramural program and to patrol the football and basketball games, All in all, this fine organization contributed much toward the better- ment of our school year.

Pep 61116 The Wa Hi Pep Club forms the nucleus of school spirit. Under the guidance of Mrs. Yifeitz, the club was responsible for the success of many activities. The club entered .1 float in the Xlfapato Harvest Festival. winning third prize. On September 18, new girls were initi- ated into membership by portraying various characters, and the hilarious octasion was concluded by a rec-room dance. The girls raised funds by sponsoring var- ious sales and teenage dances. This year's Homecoming success was most- ly due to the girls' earnest effort and fine cooperation. Homecoming activities were held during the halftime at the football game with Cle Elum on November 5. Fol- lowing the game, a dance was held to honor the Homecoming royal court. On November 10. XY'apato and Toppen- ish held the 'annual exchange assembly. Fea- turing music, drama, and dancing, it suc- ceeded in building up school spirit for the Armistice Day football game.
