Priaerjralk ,Message I do hope you vvill have many pleasant and profitable memories of the past year at Xliapato High School. The school exists for you. the students. and much of the success or failure of this year and the years to come will depend on your desire to do a good rob in gaining your education and the enioyment you might have in the other activities at school. The student leaders and the student body can be proud of their yvork this year. The fine spirit that prevailed during the gathering and dis- tribution of the Christmas gifts to the needy and the March of Dimes drive typifies the spirit that exists here at your school. Let us continue to be fine students and citizens and be proud that all of us are working together for the good of our school and our community. eheel Secretaries aaa Five people compose the very efficient Office Staff. Mr. Sherman Knight. superintendent of building and grounds. is in charge of all custodians and bus drivers. The superintendent of schools is aided by his secretary. Miss Barbara Archer. who is assisted by Mrs. Hilda Skone. Some of the common secretarial duties are letter writing. depositing money receipts for the district. answering the telephone and serving as receptionist. Forms must also be typed and then submitted to county, state. and federal offices. Y, Mr. Dietrich Kasiaess ,Manager Miss Evelyn Shirts. secretary to the principal, finds many things to do in her position such as recording attendance, recording grades, writing letters. mimeographing bulletins. and making out invitations and reports. Mr. Chester Soley serves as the Xlfapato School District bookkeeper and ac- countant. It is his duty to record the school funds. to see that all employees of the school receive their salaries each month and that bills are paid in addition to sending all orders for school supplies and delivering all purchases for the district.
