FORWARD Gone is the year 1938; and for many of us seniors, it means the end of happy school days. When we have graduated, we will all part; and some of us will never see one another again, yet the pleasant memories will still remain through the mist of deepening years. Life will have its problems, its trials and tribulations—we would not have it otherwise—yet we shall sigh and then look back and smile upon the days when we, too, were young and giddy school kids, laying the foundations of character which gives us courage to go on from day to day. It is to repaint, as best we can, those pictures; to help you relive those big moments of your high school days that we humbly present this Restrospect. He does much for us all of which we are unaware so that we instinctively put our trust in him, confident that he will help us solve all our difficulties. MR. FACULTY BOARD OF EDUCATION The group of advisers which stands as a back-ground to our educational establishment, is the Board of Education. Many wise and helpful decisions are constantly being made by this group. Although we hear lithe of their activities, it is all for the welfare of our own Blume High School and its pupils. Our excellent teachers have been selected by the Board, and they also assume the responsibility of the financial problems. Many of our public works, such as the athletic field and swimming pool, have been made possible by this group of advisers, censors, and financiers. The Board consists of Mr. Clint Shaw, president; Mr. Edwin Stroh, the clerk; and Mrs. Otto Boesel; Mr. C. D. Fischer; Mr. Clarence Viet,—members. SCHOOL COUNCIL This is the governing body of the school cmd is composed of student representatives, and faculty advisers. The Council's work consists of planning our school parties, dances, and assembly programs as well as protecting the school property. The representatives are: freshman, Peggy Jones and John Henry Fritz; sophomore, Sarah Sawmiller and Dana Slattery; junior, Mary Anne Fisher and Ned Williams; and senior, Mary Louise Cook and Tyson Elder. Mildred Underwood, Willie Hines, and Jack Miller are delegates at large; and faculty advisers are Mrs. Miller, Mr. Roberts, and Mr. Simpson.
