Right: David Lee searches for copy material. 52 The new members ofthe year- book staff found out that getting the yearbook out in time was not as easy as it seemed. They were put to work and caught on to the proper procedures as quickly as possible. Both new and old members worked under unusual conditions. Since school was out for three weeks it was difficult for staff members to get all ofthe work done in order to meet deadlines. Lon hours were required from all oftge members. After the vigorous summer marching season that paid off with a placement in the top five at the ln- diana State Fair Marching Band Contest, the band has settled into concert music, and readied itself for the eighth Annual Christmas- Sing. Then comes the long period be- tween performances when Mr. Craig hands out one concert num- ber after another, preparing the band for its Annual Variety Show. Fund raising projects are always present, ranging from the Haunted House, to the selling of band candy.
