'Magic Moments of X riiv i Prom group singing Happy Birthda Luce. y to Jeff Phil Hughes displays his dancing prowess at the prom. emory La Vie Parisiene was the theme ofthe 1976 Junior-Senior Prom. The prom was held at the Masonic Temple Ballroom on May Sth. Entertainment for the 93 couples was provided by Roosevelt Johnson, Heart, Body, and Soul. The presentation of the queen, Sally Campbell and her escort, Jim Lawerence, was at ll:00 p.m. First runner-up was Leisa Linderman, and 2nd runner-up was Robin Fletcher. The ballroom was decorated to reflect a scene from Paris. A large mirror ball was suspended over the dance floor with a water fountain underneath it. Tables were decorated with red and white checked tablecloths with candle- dripped wine bottles and stemmed goblets. Artificial hedges and street lamps helped create the atmosphere. After the prom many of the couples went bowling and then came back to Wapahani for the movie, See No Evilv and afterwards ate breakfast. Jackie Brown and friends rap at the prom.

orward Forever, Backward Never 'fMemories. light the corners of mind. . . The class of,76 has spent many days at Wapahani, most of which have already been forgotten. Somewhere throughout school they have been touched by a friend, a teacher, or even an event, that moment will stay with them forever. These memories, along with memories of people talking, laughing, classes changing, senior study hall, and, of course, lunch time, will not fade away easily. They will always be somewhere in the corners of their mindsf, As the formal graduation ceremonies ended and the more carefree celebrating was about to start, the graduates began wondering about the future. All ofa f' Mi ff 'rl , .,,.. v sudden, the future seemed closer than ever before. Some students knew exactly where they were going, yet others still hadn,t decided what was right for them: college, finding a job, traveling, getting married, or 'fdoing their thing. All students had dreams and a few were ready to make them come true. More important than the future was the present. On this final day they were looking into the faces of many people they might never see again. That last farewell seemed more definite than ever before.
