il These Friendly Faces! Any passerby on Mathis Ferry Road might look at Wando and not think any- thing about it. Sure, it's a school, but to those of us who spend six hours a day. one hundred and eighty days a year here, we know there is much more than meets the eye. To be in the school for even one day, one finds out that it is truly the people that make the school — there are so many different types, nothing else could compare! If it was not for the variety of the stu- dent body, imagine how boring school would be! There are the studious types, athletic types, crazy types, quiet types: the list is endless! Also expected in a school with 1600 students is the countless interests and activities; working, play- ing sports, and traveling are some examples. Despite the many semmingly opposite groups of people and all the various interests, we all have one point in common: We are the Wando Warriors! TOP: K.C. tells Kara and Kathi about her “terrific Tim.” Actually being able to get in your locker is a rare chance because the halls are usually so crowd- ed: Beth. Brett, and Mike take advantage of the situation. Jeff and Allen use the five minutes between classes to catch up on what has been happen- ing. RIGHT: “The numbers are uno. dos. tres says Mrs. Hurd as she reviews her Spanish 2 students. 2 OPENING
