lUampee's gigllting Qnclians, 1970 Style CAPTAINS: Timmie Edge, Donald Edge On the seventh of August, Wampee football hopefuls began working twice a week to prepare for our eight game schedule. With the loss of elev- en seniors from a team that went to the state semi-finals, it was definitely a rebuilding year for the Indians. The club contained only five or six boys who had seen action in the ranks of high school football. With the loss of these seniors and the seeming- ly unconquerable schedule, defeat was bitter, however, this made the team come fighting, more determined than ever. This group of dedicated boys worked hard and finished with a 3 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie record. In these four losses, never once did our team give up or admit defeat until the final play had been played and the last second passed.
