gs. S , Of all the aspects of school life scho- lastic achievement is one of the most important. Jimmy Collins, besides being active in many extracurricular activities which include the National Honor So- ciety, Annual Stafff and football, has maintained a high scholastic average throughout his six years at Wampee. His membership in the Beta Club and then the National Honor Society during all of those six years shows his academ- ic achievements. During his Senior year, Jimmy was chosen as 'Star Stu- dent and a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, the first one in Wampee's his- tory. Jimmy sets high goals and stan- dards for himself and meets these am- bitiously. Such qualities have deserv- ingly placed him in the Senior Hall of Fame. There are many things which go to make a person a leader. Breck Todd embodies many leadership qualities. During his junior year, he was Junior Class President, Student Council member, and a member of the Annual Staff. In Breck's senior year, he was Vice-President of the Senior Class, and Editor-in-Chief of the Smoke Signals. He has been a member of the National Honor Soci- ety, where he was treasurer for two years, since its formation. Breck also participates actively in many other clubs. Despite his many activities, he maintains a high scholastic average and is never too busy to help a friend. Generally the world of sports is a man's realm in which there is little chance for a girl. Here at Wampee, there is only one recourse for a sports minded female - Girls' Basketball. Gretchen Lewis displays her great athletic ability on the basketball court. Her Herce conndence and her great ability, couple to make her the type of ball player to be selected All- Conference two years in a row. Gret- chen is highly intelligent and shines in the classroom as well as on the playing court. Her ideas, like her playing style, are original and un- compromising.
