W-Club: Members Promote School Athletics Active W-Club initiated twenty boys into the club, one of the largest ever. The club helped pay for the weight machine and sold Christmas cards for a money-making project. Basketball Homecoming was also sponsored by W-Club. A dance held after the game honored the queen and her attendants. Members of the community pledged money for each mile a W-Club member walked for the ecology hike held in the Spring. The purpose of the hike was to pike up trash in the area. Through the success of projects and activities, W-Club succeeded in promoting school athletics.
