The F.H.A. encourages girls to par- ticipate in activities and helped them gain leadership ability through degree work. A degree is an award attained by doing a specified number of proiects planned , to improve the girl through greater par- ticipation in home, school, and commu- nity activities. Interest in degrees has grown steadily, with more than one- fourth of the members working for de- grees this year, and all members being encouraged to do so. Not everyone re- ceives a degree, but each girl who strives to reach the goals she has set, has grown steadily toward self-improvement. The many F.H.A. activities are planned by the Cabinet pictured at right. It ,, -' Ei The members are left to right, front row: S. Randall, S. Sandborn, K. Balderson, R. Breymeyer, Second row: V.
