INCREASED INTEREST IS NOTICED IN SPEECH ACTIVITIES! Something new at W.H. S. this year was the TV show every month. Each show was given by a different department. Here, the director of the shows, Mr. Rhine, gives a few pointers to Chester Westergardt, master of ceremonies on the F, F, A. -F, H, A, program A reversal of the situation came about in the one act play If Boys Ask Girls For Dates. This play was under the direction of Miss Barbara McNei1ly, and the cast consisted of: Diane Fecht, Myrna Hilliard, Edgar Drake, Tom Riat, and Eloise McKinnon. This play was given at the Parents' Night and for an exchange assembly at Haskell Institute Mary Enlow became the first person at W.H. S. to receive a ONE rating at the Kansas State Speech Festival. She received this honor by giving the reading, Good-bye, Sister. Congratulations, Mary!
