The marching band has participated in several activities this year including: K- State band day, K. U. Music Festival, County Music Festival, and also have taken a part in every football and basketball game ofthe season. The two attractions of white buck shoes and gold and blue hats with gold plumes were added to the uniforms this year. This year for the first time Mr. Charles Elliott, director, organized the Rhythm Raiders dance band. They have played for school dances, dances in the locality, and the- Winter General Hospital Christmas dance besides appearing on station KJAY at Manhattan throughout the year and playing for Pottawatomie County Teachers' Association. The high school sextet consisting of five Juniors and one Sophomore received a superior rating at the Lawrence District Music Festival They sang for the Christmas and Easter programs besides singing for various school and local business organizations, and the Pottawatomie County Teachers Association, in the spring.
