Fans interacted when it came to upholding the traditional Wal- trip spirit. Different shades of spirit were shown by the Cheer- leaders, Band, Silks, and Flam- bling Floses. Ram fans also showed their support by wearing class T-shirts or the school col- ors, red and gray. They clapped, cheered, chanted, and danced in the aisles of the school audito- rium and at Delmar Stadium! l F 16 Student Life

ashington Crowned ueen A Tanya Washington escorted by Lorenzo Johnson. Our 1987 Homecoming Court was made up of seven young ladies ap- pearing in the latest fashions, express- ing their individual character. The can- didates had escorts to accompany them onto the field along with the 1986 Homecoming Queen, Kelly Drake. Sev- enty girls ran for this title and the stu- dent body elected seven finalists. With the help of the Student Council, the Roses, the Silks, and the Band, a beau- tiful ceremony was presented. With ex- citement and enthusiasm Tanuya Washington was announced Home- coming Queen for 1987. Tanuya was presented the crown and roses that are traditionally given to each new Home- coming Queen. 18 Homecoming
