On November 23, Waltrip's Band, Silks, and Roses marched in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. This group subjected themselves to drizzling rain and low temperatures. Being next to last in the line up, they had quite a wait in the terrible weather. There was, however, a light at the end of the tunnel as Waltrip was named the Honor Bandw of the event.
