Taffy Duke 2 Wann Mr. Ofield escorts Kelly and Christine 18 Homecoming Queen Kelly Drake was crowned the 1986 Homecoming Queen dur- ing half-time of the Waltrip- Reagan football game. Forty-six beautiful girls ran for the honor of being Waltrip's Homecoming Queen. The student body voted and a court of seven was selected. The many hours of practice that the band, Silks, and Roses endured paid off in a grand showing. Spirit had been building as classes painted signs for weeks. All the classes dressed up in wild outfits. The Freshmen were hobos one day and inside-out the next. Sophomores went back to the past and then jumped into the modern New Wave. juniors were their favorite cartoon characters and then stepped back to the fifties. Seniors ad the beach bum look Wednes- day and aged to be old men and women Thursday. Thursday night classes decorated their own halls. Friday morning the school was decked in T.P. and bursting with Waltrip Spirit. N
