:ep-rallies keep spirits high Pep-rallies have been a long stablished tradition at Waltrip Sr. ligh School. The rallies are usually bld in the auditorium during the uidance period. At these pep-rallies ie cheerleaders performed skits and ie roses danced in order to raise the airit of students and team members efore the game. However, the tradi- on was changed this year because f House Bill 72. The bill states that o assemblies are to be held during school hours. Our principal, Mr. Ofield, knowing the importance of the rallies to the student body, did what he could to continue having the rallies without any classes being missed. Unfortunately, the com- plaints put an end to this. The pep-rallies were then changed to be held before school and were moved to outside on the roof. It was sad, because after that the rallies seemed to lose all their spark. Students failed to come to school early and those that did were so spread out, the cheerleaders could not keep their attention. Hopefully, in the future, someone will realize the importance of the extra- curricular activities in keeping students interested in school and maybe in the future the indoor rallies will be restored. si- . Rams create memories Students spend so much of their lives in school and other related ac- tivities that they will sometimes become boring and routine occur- rences. One day, years from now, when looking back it will become possible to realize that these days were not so bad after all and that the high school years are some of the best times of our lives. All the students have come together to share experiences that will never be forgot- ten. Tears have been cried and smiles seen on many faces during unforget- table moments. Though our days at Waltrip are limited, the memories of them will go on forever. W' fav . 14 l g i' s .jf A t ,ie, , fm 1 'A ,,-. . ,.t-,w at 24 f Student Life
