They played three games at Galva, Strong City, and E1 d 1 . ' m a e -when basketball season opened nearly all the boys took part inthis sport. The Wildcatswon eighteen games outof twenty-three starts. After losing three games at the beginning of the season, the boys hit a winning streakand for fifteen games straight were undefeated. For the first time in the history of the school the Wildcats were victors at the League. Tournament at McPherson. The team and school became the proud possessors of the first 5:g:5:Q:f:Q:f: .I3: place trophey won at McPherson. 'They also 'received a trophey for holding first place in the league standing. A second place trophey was presented to them at the District Tournament.
