Dear Seniors, General MacArthur in his speech to Congress expressed his humility at being in a place that represents human liberty in the purest form yet devised. You will in all prohahility not he called on lor any hig or glamorous role in our country's history. But your services will he needed in the countless little ways that malce a nation strong. Vve have tried to train you in these ways ol honesty, hard worli. helpfulness, and especially the will to do what is right hecause you lcnow it is right, not loecause you are forced to do it lay a watchman. If we and other schools and homes throughout our country have succeeded, you, too, in your latter years will have the joy of living where human liberty in the purest lorm yet devised prevails.
