Oh, quickly did I soon depart, To wander forth until I met A lady who a Year Book scanned, To make the tome more rich in art. I salliecl forth with woeful face, To right all wrongs in every place The pictures, I soon realized, Which showed the campus and the girls, Were masterpieces for the Book Because they had been supervised. And then there came one, in my sight, Who floated as in airy space With joyous thoughts of ballrooms filled, And couples dancing all the night. I salliecl forth with woeful face, To right all wrongs in every place Attracted by the tread of feet, I fair collided with a man Who made the traffic quickly move, And saw that girls the halls kept neat. By some mysterious quirk of fate, I passed a room with culprits full, Who sat about with worried face. To mope and stare and Wait and Wait! The Year Book, you must surely see, Quoth one, while passing through the halls, The content each new term is changed, So that it might yet better bel Oh, those who program every class, To give the students what they want, Must truly wond'rous women be, For grateful is each eighth term lass. l sallied forth with woeful face, To right all wrongs in every place. My wand'ring soon came to a halt, On chancing these strange words to hear, My darlings just don't have the time: I'm sure it's really not their fault. Then quoth another, But, you see, The time for Class Night now is near: The dancers, actors must rehearse- So that our work a joy will be.
