Huyler Mr. Sherwood Mr. Alexander 76 Dr. Nephew, District Superintendent Mr. Robert Estabrook High School Principal Mr. Estabrook arrived on the scene at WCS last fall and with him came many changes. Some we liked; some we didn't. (Seniors are still mourning over the loss of Honor study halls.) But his overriding concern this year has been that the students should get the best edu- cation possible. Mr. Estabrook is a doctoral student in educa- tional administration at the University of Vir- ginia, where he received his Master's degree. His Undergraduate work was completed at SUCO, Oneonta. He taught English during a period of 7 years at Sidney, Schenectady, and Oneonta. Besides coaching basketball, he also served as Vice-Principal and Summer School Principal at Oneonta. He is married to the for- mer Virginia Murrell of Norfolk, Virginia, who was a research biologist at the University of Virginia Medical School. We are pleased that Mr. Estabrook has become pan of WCS. 77 Mr. Backus, Social Studies Mrs. Belmont, English Mr. Bartlett, Industrial Arts Mr. Belzer, Special Ed. 78 79 Mr. DiDominick, Social Studies Mr. Davis, Math Ms. DiMidio, Math 81 82 Mr. Howard, Science Mr. Hubbard, Art Ms. Hugo, English (and Jeff) Mrs. Howard, Home Economics Mr. Jameison, Music 83 84 85 86 Mrs. Rose, Music Russen fETI Mr. Roche, Soc. Selling subscriptions . . . cropping pictures . . . layouts . . . meeting deadlines . . . making major decisions . . . and just being creative Uis. The Deja Vu Staff is proud to dedicate its 1977 yearbook to Mrs. Betty Matalavage, teacher, advisor, and friend forever. She has helped us through tenth grade social studies, even those of us who were reluctant to go. Outside the classroom, you can find her in the bookstore, backstage directing holiday programs, decorating for dances, on the field directing Homecoming, running the Student Council fair, and acting as chief bottle washer at numerous dinners. Beyond all this - and most important of all - you will find her a willing listener when problems arise. Her genuine interest in kids is remembered long after they leave. When graduates return, one person they always want to see is their friend in room 227. Deja Vu says, Thanks, Mrs. Matalavage, for being all these things. You have looked for the best in others and have given the best you had. 208 r
