I Reflections Walton Central School Walton, New York As each student leaves WCS, he finds himself faced with basic obligations that require a substantial educational foundation. By acquainting himself with THE SEVEN LIVELY ARTS, the student finds himself physically, academically and socially prepared to ful- fill his individual duties. As a leader of tomorrow, he will reflect upon these school days as a valuable ex- perience not to be forgotten. 2 Administration and Faculty page 8 Music Organizations Sports page 56 page 64 page 72 page 38 Jr. High Upperclass Senior page 18 page 28 page 104 Advertising with the Gibbon's Group Leader of the Pack 'Could it be you have bad breath? . . . have a pickle . . . 5 Back to the salt mines! You have met your problems and difficulties with insight, imagination, and splendid organization. The REFLECTIONS is more than a collection of photographs. It is a partial pictorial recgrd of contemporary Walton Central School affairs that through the years will have an increasing emotional interest for the members of the Class of 1966 and their friends. Congratulations to all of the members of the Class of 1966 as they approach graduation week and commencement. Perhaps the most valuable result of your education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do. when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. It is the first lesson that ought to be learned; and however early a man’s training begins, it is proba- bly the last lesson that he learns thoroughly. J. The Chapter has rendered ser- vice to the school and community by doing such things as furnishing Christmas baskets to a needy family, assisting during Open House, and members are available to help students in need of assistance. We plan a social or cultural trip each year. With the adoption of amendments to the local constitution. Student Council can be- come a more active and influential force in student affairs. The effectiveness of the council depends on the interest of the student body. So, bring your gripes to the meetings and see if group action can do what you can not do individually. Members of F. T. A. have gained practi- cal teaching experience by taking over classes in the field in which they plan to concentrate. Debates, discussions and out- side speakers have contributed to the mem- ber’s knowledge of current problems and trends in the field of education. Saturday Seminar is a program designed for able and ambitious students who desire to further their knowledge of a particular sub- ject on a college level. Classes are offered in such fields as math, science and socidl studies. These classes are held Saturday mornings at the State University at Oneonta. Honor Society Officers: J. VanBuren, Vice Pres: A. It is an art, the success of which depends on personal persuasiveness, on the author's skill to give as on ours to receive. As in literature, the success of one's education de- pends on how much individual effort is put forth. In WCS, independent study is encouraged, which pre- pares the student to extract the truth for himself. Juniors Sophomores Pres. - F. Kelder G. Youmans V. Pres. - A. VanValkenburg B.
