Since music is our theme we wish to recognize the music department of the Walton School system. Mrs. Champ- lin, Chorus; Mrs. Yarnes, Elementary school music; Mr. Wilcox. Orches- tras; and Mr. Jamieson, Bands. Mr. Wakeman is also a part of the music staff but is on a leave of ab- sence for a year to teach in England. Thank you for bringing the universal language of music into our lives. Mrs. Champlin is a one year employee of Walton Central and is in the music department. She is filling in for Mr. Wakeman while he is on his leave of absence. She handles the High school chorus and also teaches in Townsend School. Before coming to Walton she taught at Downsville for five years. Mr. Jamieson has taught in this system for the past fifteen years. He has never been employed by anyone else but W.C.S. Mr. Jamieson leads our fine Marching Band, Con- cert Band, Junior Band, Elementary Band, Beginners Band, and teaches over 200 instrumental pupils in class lessons. Mr. Wilcox has been with W.C.S. for five years and is the man behind the Senior Orchestra, Junior and Beginners Orchestras. He also teaches both seventh and eighth grade music classes. 9
