memorial bernie collins cttw' if . i il'-Ni! Bernard Collins was a member of the Waltham High School Business Depart- ment for the past 18 years. During his time at the high school he was a devoted teacher, involved in educational activities and an active member of the Wal- tham Educators Association. As a family man with ten children of his own, Mr. Collins was well prepared as a teacher. He had an excellent rapport with his students, was full of under- standing and concern for others, and earned the respect, admiration, and fondness of his peers.

dedication I . u jack delaney . From November of 1973 to June 1982 Jack Delaney was Taylor Publishing Company's representative to the Waltham High. During that time J ack took a mediocre book and made it a book unequaled in the New England area. J ack's patience and understanding in teaching an inexperienced advisor the finer points of yearbook design was the main reason for any success that we have enjoyed. Last June J ack passed away suddenly and on that day the Waltham High School yearbook lost its biggest supporter. Last July I decided to go along with J ack's plan for using computer graphics in the book. I then dedicated myself to producing the finest yearbook that I could. Mere words cannot describe my feelings, but this book will serve as my tribute to my friend, mentor, and a true gentleman-J ack Delaney.
