Mirror Dedication Miss Margaret Nolan has been connected with Waltham High since 1942 . She was born and educated in Waltham, and upon graduating from Lasell Junior College attended the Boston University College of Practical Arts and Letters, where she specialized in the teachers' training course. Furthering her studies , she received a Master of Education degree from the Boston University School of Education. At her first place of employment after graduation, she taught shorthand and typewrit- ing at the Wyndham Secretarial School. After several months serving in this capacity, she acquired a position at Waltham High School as an instructor of bookkeeping and typewriting in all classes of the business curriculum. In addition to teaching, Miss Nolan has been a member of the Waltham Educators Association, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the National Education Association and the Professional Business Women's Club. Miss Nolan gives nearly all of her spare time to the students at Waltham Highg even her Saturdays and Sundays are spent working to help the students attain 340,000 worth of scholarships a year. This is just a part of her job as assistant to the Guidance Director. We are proud to dedicate the 1976 Mirror to Miss Margaret Nolan.

irror Dedication Mr. John J. Regan, born in Waltham , grew up in Newton where he attended Newton Catholic High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree and his Master of Arts degree from Suffolk University, and continued his graduate studies at Boston State, Framingham State, Salem State, and Boston University. In addition to serving the students of Waltham High School, he was an active member of the Executive Board and Evaluation Committee, as well as serving as Vice President of the Waltham Educators Association and President of the Salary Committee for Waltham School System. Mr. Regan has also dealt personally with many Waltham students. During his eight years as a math teacher in the Waltham School System, he participated in and directed many extracurricular activities. For ten years he was the coach for the Junior Varsity football team at Kennedy Junior High. He was a Driver Education teacher for five years, a baseball umpire for four years, and was also the advisor for the Waltham High School talent show for three years . More recently, Mr. Regan has served as Assistant Housemaster for three years and for the past three years was the Housemaster for ou.r class. As a token of our appreciation and gratitude to a man who has done everything for our class, we dedicate the 1976 edition of the Waltham High School Mirror.
