Special Recognition Mr. Leon Meader The graduating Class of 1976 would like to give special recognition to a man who will be leaving our school after many years of dedicated service to the students of Waltham High School. Mr. Leon Meader has been a Math teacher at Waltham High for eighteen years. Before this he taught at Higgins Classical Institute in Maine for nineteen years and was Headmaster there for four years. He graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois, and received his Master's degree from the University of Maine. We will all miss Mr. Meader's friendly smile and his familiar greetings in the halls. And we wish to say thank-you and a sad good-bye to a man who has come to be one of the favorites of the Class of 76.

I4 I especially want to acknowledge the efforts of our two editors and the contributions they made to the 1976 MIRROR. Our editors were active in school activities. Bonnie was a Football Cheerleader, a member of Concert Choir, and participated in Senior Revue. Rhonda was a Basketball Cheerleader, co-captain of the Girls' Tennis Team, and partici- pated in Senior Revue. Despite all their extracurricular activities they were both members of the National Honor Society, and each was awarded a scholarship at Gradu- ation Exercises. What makes these accomplish- ments all the more commendableis the fact that all the yearbook work was done on free time or after school. At no time was class time used . During Class Day Exercises Bonnie received the superlative Did Most for the Class and as a final tribute the Class of 1976 gave Bonnie and Rhonda a standing ovation. This says it all.
