CNKW 4 X Fine points of dramatic acting are discussed by Brian jones, Miss Gerber, and James Auld. New York director, Ella Gerber, demonstrates an emotional mem- ory with the assistance of actor Bob Clement for eager partici- f pants in the Arts VI drama pro- gram which ran for five weeks at WHS. Title III Arts VI Title III! Arts VI is a federally funded program which brings various aspects of culture into area public schools. Many students had an opportunity to participate in the drama workshop given by famed New York Director, Ella Gerber. She brought her own group of actors who performed scenes while she presented many of the actual techniques used in the theatre. Ella Gerber suc- ceeded most of all in communicating her very deep love for theatre to all her students. Interested participants in the Arts VI drama program listen attentively to a demonstration by Miss Gerber.

Music Department ll iv vw The general objective of the music department is the pursuit of excellence in music education. This can be realized through their flexible staffingf' 'sr Many elementary music teachers have come to the high school as well to work in their areas of strength Hardly any of the music stall is connned to one building. The department possesses several high quality instruments: a stereo set, an organ and a piano. A large number of students from Wfaltham go on to major in this area and many boys train for the service bands.
