UWCOQ G oFF1cERs Class President David Tettleton Vice President Robert Berendzen Sec 81 Treas Clara Mae Ezell Reporter Coleen Froman Sponsor Mrs Lee Mershon well represented 1n the Student Council with Jo Nell Shepard and Thomas Landis as the first semester representatives and Barbara Jane Mershon and Jimmy Rice as the second semester representatives The class IS well represented in the band Glenna Edgar and Dorothy Holcomb were members of the All State Band at Stillwater this year The class had four members in the All District Band at Altus These were Glenna Edgar Dorothy Holcomb Coleen Froman and Leonard Sisk Barbara Jane Mcrshon is drum major of the band Wherever the Pep Club goes the Junior girls can be heard above the rest with Donna Lea Jones as cheerleader frvm our class The Junior girls play a leading part in all Glee Club activities The Juniors were indeed outstanding in F F A activities Lum Barber had the champion Braham cockeral American Class of the Junior Division and the Grand Champ ion bird of the entire show at the Oklahoma State Poultry Federation at Oklahoma City this year Our Junior Class poultry Judging team composed of Oral Dean Copeland Lum Barber and Bruce Reed placed third in the State this year Kelly Poemoceah had the champion English Class female bxrd These activities gave the school two huge trophies and one smaller one The class has a few students entering in speech and dramatic contests this year These students are Marlene Faulknor Humorous Reading lnterpretat1on and Leonard Sisk in Boy's Extempore Some of our members are in the school One act play The Ladies Auxllliary ofthe American Legion and the McDowell Music Club are going to pick out two of the Junior Class mc mbers who will be sent to G1rl's State th1s summer The Lions and Rotary Clubs are going to send Oral Dean Copeland and Leo nard Slsk to Boys State this summer In the future the Junior Class w1ll present their class play Little Women and also w1ll be hosts to the Seniors at the Junior Senior Banquet .H 2 I Q SS ' GI The Junior Class has been active in all the activities of the school.
