The club supported the boys during most of the out of town games as well as the home games. The leaders this year were very active in creating new yells and stunts which were used at rallies and before and during games. The rally stunts were climaxed by a huge bonfire ceremony in which a Temple Tiger was burned in effigy. Other highlights of the year were the football queen crowning ceremory which was p'anned and carried out by the club and the weiner roast for the football boys given at Sultan Park. Norton Walters-- 28 1' ' lt should be the ambition of every player in an athletic contest to be the best on the field. A boy real- izes that ambition, not by simply wearing a uniform which represents his school, but by having, in his heart and mind, the will to achieve, and a great desire to build character and develop fair play. Bob Tomah has been granted this honor. He was selected on the 1949 All-State Football Team, and he attained this goal by hard work and fair play. Bob is well deserving of this high award and this should be an inspiration for other boys in our school IN MEMORLAM Many hearts were grieved with the untimely death of Ronald Williams His death was sincerely regretted by his many friends who will always remember his keen sense of fairness good sportsmanship and the fighting spirit that would never permit him to 'give up Q fi' 2, Q: y Q 14,1 1 n 1 .ya g-AO 'x H g f 1 f- ' s 'U 3 ' N 1 K' ' S .
