ENGLISH AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES The English Department offers to each student of WSHS the opportunity to learn how to use his language well—to speak with assurance, to write with clarity, to read with understanding. Today's world demands facility in communication; the English Department strives to supply this necessary skill to our students. Three foreign languages—Spanish, French, and Latin—give a basis for understanding and appreciof ing civilizations and cultures other than our own. Mrs. M. F.
