1 Jhe Senior add Predentd ZJL X air Ji - s nil I if 96 C J ' - WJt erloro Schoo WJU oro, South (Lciroi'u eWOVy J THIS IS W. H. S. , your school You are the ones for whom it functions. Think back over your years at W. H. S. Can you remember how BIG and con- fusing the halls and grounds seemed the first day you were here? Maybe you got lost going to classes or couldn't find your locker in a hall of mass confusion. Then don't you also recall how FRIENDLY the students and teach- ers were? They were all glad to help you learn about the place which soon was to become your school. W. H, S. changes its appearance many times. Sometimes it is very FOR- MAL. Do you remember the anticipation and excitement of your first Junior Senior dance? Hasn't the magic of that night been intensified in following years? More often, though, W. H. S. is INFORMAL. There have been dances in the gym after games, at homecoming, and after the Halloween Carnival. And who can forget the informal jam sessions with your friends before school and during lunch? But W. H. S does not exist principally for play. Your chief purpose has been to study and obtain the knowledge that has been offered to you. It may have been very DIFFICULT at times, but if you have succeeded, your re- wards will be unlimited. And too, your school life has always been ENJOY- ABLE. How many times did you yell yourself hoarse at the football games, support your teams in basketball, and enjoy the clubs, assemblies, and pep rallies ? Yes, this is W. H. S. , your school, and it WILL ALWAYS BE REMEM- BERED. S.LJ P, cityer May every thought we think today and everything we do and say, Be worthy of the folks we love and worthy of our God above. Amen. DiLi id W. J4. S. Angels, guard our Alma Mater From the skies of blue; Guard and guide our footsteps ever, Firm and strong and true. We will e’er uphold thy standards - Honor, love, and truth; Pledge our hearts, our hands, and voices, Loyalty and youth. Chorus: Forward! ever be our watchword, Conquer and prevail; Hail to thee, our Alma Mater, W. H.
