i1 v smsxr 7r Presented by The Senior Class WALTERBORO HIGH SCHOOL Walterboro, South Carolina FOREWORD it} d immediately conjure up thoughts ox fair ladies, valiant knights, fire-breathing drag- ons, wily magicians, colorful tournaments, and ad- venturous quests The institution of chivalry stands as a symbol of man's never-ending pursuit of noble ideals. Today, although we no longer have moated castles and fierce dragons, shining armor and bright swords, gallant horses and flying pennons, we are still wag- ing the war of right against wrong, wre are still striv- ing to reach the goals and ideals that inspire our efforts, and we are still pursuing the eternal quest for knowledge. As we look back upon our four years in high school, let us think of them as years spent in quest of self- realization. Each effort we have exerted, each ac- tivity in which we have participated, each contribu- tion we have made has aided us in moving ever nearer toward the accomplishment of our varied aspirations. Now, as we leave Walter boro High School to go forth into a larger world, we hope that we shall al- ways keep before us the dreams, the ideals, the lofty aims that our Alma Mater has pointed out to us, and we shall never cease OUR QUEST for the good, the pure, and the beautiful.
