A B c D F CLASS OF 1953 Don -- 7th Barbara -- 8th Marilyn -- 9th My class and yours -- ah, we have shared many hardships and tiring moments together, but everything has always turned out for the best. I recall the first time we came to the high school, we felt so small and yet we knew in our hearts that someday we, yes we, would be seniors. The school year of '47-'48 was a great one far us -- we had actually begun our long but short climb to higher learning and after nine months of school, vacation finally came. Our freshman year was a thrilling one for us. We participated in the’Homecoming festivities. Shirley was chosen Miss Freshman, and many other new experiences came our way. The school term of '50- 151 was that of the sophomore year. By that time we had gone a long way up the ladder to becoming a senior. Many things happened to us, but we were quite capa- ble of handling them. Our Homecoming float.was a minature football game with the Wildcats beating St. George. Grace was Miss Sophomore. The Junior year was the most exciting for us. The Junior-Senior was given with the theme of pirates, the junior play, Am I Intruding was put on with much fun and hard work. Carey was chosen Miss Junior, and our float for that year was a classroom. As juniors we had a great responsibility that year, and I think that each of us did our best. Finally our senior year of '52-f53 arrived with much excitement. We enter- tained the Class of ’42 with a Homecoming parade that topped them all! Gloria was crowned queen during the half-time, and we had a big dance after the game. It has been a long climb up the ladder and it has not been easy, but I think each of us has earned the title of Senior . We shall never forget our teachers who have always shown us the right roads to success and to them we owe our deepest gratitude and appreciation. I hope we have been good examples to those who are now coming up the ladder and that they will do even better than we, the class of '53, has done -- My-Class and Yours.
