MENTAL CONTESTANTS Walterboro sent 14 contestants to the state finals in Columbia to represent the following subjects and activities: French, English, Gen- eral Scholarship, History, Algebra, Junior Mathematics, Bookkeeping, Shorthand and Typing, Biology, and Tennis. Of the contestants, Jack Lindsay placed in General Scholarship and English and Chaford Brown in Senior Algebra.
