There were 2C8 students in the 1961-1962 seventh grade class. Sherry Wray was elected class president that year. Sue Howell honoured our class when she was elected Junior High Homecoming Queen. In 1962-63 we were in the eighth grade. We lost only one student from the seventh grade as 207 students were in our class. Becky O'Kelly served as class president during that year. Marsha Cleveland and Teresa Cotton represented our class well when they won 1st and 2nd place respectively in the Junior Girls' Civitan Speech Contest. Our freshman class was large, having 200 members. Donald Shaw served as presi- dent of the class that year. Barbara Simmons was Junior High Homecoming Queen that year. We lost 22 members from our freshman class. Thus, our sophomore class consisted of 178 members. Eddie Smith, the president of our Student Council this year, was president of the class. Donald Morris, our current class president, was chosen president of the choral groups that year. 1965-66 was a busy year for the Junior Class at Wellborn. However, after much hard work the Junior-Senior Prom turned out a success. Ferris Daniel was president of the class, which had lost 36 members and now had only 142 members remaining. 1967 marks our last year here at Wellborn. Donald Morris is our current class presi- dent. The senior football players helped in winning Wellborns' first state championship. We started this year with 133 of the original 208 students. 59 Menhir Jimaps «mc : - «.“ ■ __________________________________________________ • v . 7 - : . ...•- .-.s-rr?, ; 1 Ai. •« tU ' . . -• ■ -r •• - :' • ?• Vr'1 « « 1 . - r ,« • ; ' . • . « « r ■• - £ m r Abernathy, Benny Allaway, Daniel Amerson, Connie Anderson, Peggy Angles, Robert Beam, Sandra Bentley, Glenn Bentley, Ronald Berg.
