Officially, this means the Walter Johnson Student Council of the Montgomery County Regional Association of the Maryland Association of Student Councils of the National Association of Student Councils. Through conventions and workshops, as Well as correspondence, WJ keeps in touch with the other parts of its initials, keeping informed of projects and learning from others. Of immediate concern to the SCA were projects on its own stamping ground. Much work was done independently, but projects undertaken collectively -such as a sportsmanship award-were directly beneficial to WJ also. Club Workshop was still another bond with local schools. Our Co-ordinating Council established the workshop with Blair, B-CC, and Northwood so that representatives from these clubs could compare notes. Established in the second semester, the Work- shop built a foundation for an early, smooth or- ganization of clubs in the fall of 1960. Within Walter Johnson, the Co-ordinating Coun- cil served as a clearing house for clubs. For in- stance, when Tri-Hi-Y planned to sell octopi they turned to the Co-ordinating Council for approval, suggestions, and capital. TUDE T COUNCIL ASSOCIATIO REPRESENTATIVE couNclL First row: M.
