Sophomore Class My taste is impeccable, l'm vot- ing for Labovitz for vice-president. Duncan Hines eats Bob Winfree up sideways! Vote Bob for treas- urer. Go with the mob, vote for Cobb. These were typical of the slogans written on the campaign posters which adorned the halls of Walter Johnson High School early in No- vember. Members ot the Sophomore Class were electing officers for the coming school year. In addition to the four students who were elected by the entire class, a representative from each tenth grade homeroom was chosen. These sixteen people comprised the Soph- omore Class Council. This group of students, under the sponsorship of William B. Prigg, Jr., planned and executed all the sophomore activi- ties which included a dance in the spring. Eighty-three per cent of the soph- omores, the highest percentage of ballot casters from any class, turned out to vote, electing Fred Stier their president and John Labovitz, vice- president. Carla Watson served as secretary, Don Moorehead was elected treasurer.
