.tunni- A Aam- 'Fw M. ,. of-g 'L TT' at 4,5 gr-5 Senior Class Council SENIOR WEEK! SENIOR PLAY! PROM! SCHOOL WIDE DANCE! GRADUATION! Who carries out this exciting program? Why, none other than the Senior Class Council. The officers of the Senior Class together with several other students appointed by the president organized the events which lent gaiety to the final year of high school, Committees were formed within the Council for each activity so that the program could be carried out more efficiently. The ball began to roll early in the year with the first of the two senior dances, Harvest Moon, under the direction of Bonnie Jump. Penny Zweigenhaft, as chairman of publicity and school spirit, did the colorful posters advertising the dance. At the same time, Margarethe Cammermeyer organized elections for the I959 Hall of Fame. The other committees formed to take care of final senior activities were as follows: Class Trip, Barbara Warrick, Senior Week, Sam Lo Presti, Senior Play, Barbara Abraham, Senior Class Night, Sue Heffelfinger and Will and Prophecy, Doris Horecker. The Senior Class Council's sponsor was William E. Schroeder who offered suggestions and kept the program running in an orderly and lively way. With just one year for precedent, the group has been free to experiment with novel ideas, such as leaving all extra money to a fund for a football stadium, helping thus to form a tradition at Walter Johnson.
