L . , , 4 f . is gf ,M72 ' iQ, -un... ,.,. --- Mr. Gregory Mr. Bennett Mr. Reddick The Triple Entente ADMINISTRATICN Among all the elements considered in a school's accreditation, the most basic and unchanging is the requirement of good teaching under a top- flight administration. We have a staff whose excellence has been affirmed by those graduates who have written back that their Walter Johnson back- ground provided superior training for their college and business careers. The man directly responsible for this success is Henry C. Gregory. With his assistants, William L. Bennett and Donald H. Reddick, he deals with the innumerable duties and responsibilities that can be blanketed under running the school. Our principal recommends the engagement and re- tention of faculty. lt is significant of the high standards he maintains that in the fall he interviewed some l5O applicants for the 2l openings on the staff. ln the Guidance Department, the right arm of the administration, there is always someone to listen to troubles or to answer questions. As if registering students, changing programs, administering tests, and ar- ranging parent-student-teacher conferences were not enough, our three counselors are also confronted with students eager to talk about their selection of and admission to college. We may feel justifiably proud of our teachers and administrators, for they perform their jobs with the conscientious adherence to those aims and ideals that make modern education telling in a very tough world. GREGORY, principal, B.A., West Virginia University, L.L.B., West Vir- ginia University, M.A., University of Michigan, born and reared: Corley, West Virginia, wife: Margaret Stalnaker, son: William-l8, to WJ in i956 from Western Junior High WILLIAM L.
