A A new program was introduced to tne Greensboro scnools this year. Tnis pro- gram was tne BET-BET convocations. Tne GETVBET letters stand for Greater Enricnment Tnrougn Bcnolarly Enter- taining Talks. Tne Page group of tne city wide committee was Clnris lVlilIer, lvlark Edwards, Carol Belk, and Bryan Nelson. Clur Page committee played a large role in tne first convocation witn CBB cor- respondant Ed Bradley. lvlark Edwards introduced lvlr. Bradley at tne convoca- tion and Chris lVliller led tne Seminar session. Botn lvlark and Cnris said tnat it was an experience to be with tne speaker and noped that everyone gained something from seeing lvlr. Bradley. The program is to pe continued for tnree years witn a maximum of tnree speakers per year. After tne tnird year,tl'1e Bcnool Board will evaluate the program and make a decision on wnetner to continue or terminate.
