-f T. - D ' I i -V j Picture Four During the first full week of October, the dress code at Page underwent an unusual change. lnstead of the typical khaki's, blue jeans, and skirts, students displayed school spirit by roaming the halls in cowboy hats, bobbysocks, and pajamas. This year, Spirit Week was enhanced by students only having to attend school four days, due to a teacher work- day on Tuesday. But Monday was 50's Day, and as usual was the most popular day of the week. Ducktails, ponytails, and leather jackets characterized the majority of the students outfits. Wednesday was Kiddie Day when students dug deep into their closets and asked younger P Q .. I Picture Six members of their families for clothes. Western Day came on Thursday, and Friday was Page's traditional Red 8. White Day. The entire week was disrupted by destructive outbreaks from both schools. Fortunately, the football game was allowed to be played, although the soccer game was can- celled due to the excessive damage. Friday October 7 was the big day. During the Pep rally, the Grimsley Whirlie Bird was hung, and later that night the game was played at Jamieson Stadium before the largest crowd ever. Unfortunately for the Pirates the game ended with a tie score, 24-24.
