Senior Captains D. Bankston, C. Dickerson, B. Flemons .- Z - -lis XJ. JU af» ' i£ Fired Up Falcons Prepare For the Brown Rebels. ' jftQ The 1967-68 football season was a very successful one for the George Falcons. After dropping their first game to the Northside Tigers, 27-0, the Falcons gained momentum and experience and scored three successive victories by whitewashing Roose- velt, 21-0, Sylvan, 14-0 and East Atlanta 21-0. A big highlight was the homecoming victory over Bass, 7-6. This was the first homecoming game ever won by a Falcon team. Anoth er first for George High was their defeat over Brown, 14-0. Near the end of the season George faced Carver High with the Milk Bowl in range. This was a very crucial game, and even though George was defeated, the Falcons proved they were tough. George faced Fulton, their arch rival, in the last game of the season. Although George came out on the short end of the score, it was a closely fought game. At the end of the season George High had five wins and four losses, a very good finish for a tough year. This season ' s captains were Bobby Flem- ons, David Bankston, and Clint Dickerson, all seniors and outstanding players. Coach Kell ' s feeling toward this season is that this has been the most pleasant season I have ever coached. The senior players was the main key because they carried great leadership.
