Chapter has taken part in many special activities. Among them are Officer Training Con- ference in Macon, Georgia; President Recognition Dinner at the Atlanta Mar- riot; Employer-Employee Banquet held at Regency Hyatt House ; District Lead- ership Conference held at Russell High School in East Point; and the State Leadership Conference held at the At- lanta Biltmore. A Puritan encounter with the Indians is re- created by Drama Club members at Thanks- giving Assembly. The Drama Club informs the PTA about a typical day at school. The Drama Club, sponsored by Mrs. Stickle and Miss Grier, is a fairly new venture at George. Despite its newness, it has been involved in many of the school ' s activities. Part in the Thanksgiving and Christmas pro- grams, sponsoring a dance, and usher- ing at Theatre Atlanta have kept some sixty members very busy. President David Brinson and the other officers, Judy Williamson, vice- president; Nina Newman, secretary; Linda Smith, treasurer; now have plans for producing a play, BLITHE SPIRIT in the spring. Lee Eltzroth is the reporter for this productive club. Requirements for membership in the Drama Club are very liberal. Any stu- dent, grades eight through twelve, who is interested in drama, is invited to join. What do you say, Mr. Bones?? After a slow start last year, the Science Club has built a solid organization, affiliated with the national organization, Science Clubs of America. The goal of the Science Club is To increase the knowledge of science, to learn to perfect skills in sci- ence, to offer service in our community and nation, to understand the importance of science in the lives of individuals, and to help earn ' out the program of Science Clubs of America. All club members must have a B average in science courses at- tempted and an overall grade average of C . Members who are Juniors and Seniors must be taking or have taken at least one elective course in science. Mrs. Reese, a biology teacher in her fourth year at George, sponsors this twenty- member club. Officers are president, Michael Etter; vice-president, Bennie Amerson ; secretary, Sydney Anderson ; and treasurer, Steve Maddox. And what we have here .
